The Riviera Concert Brass, like a phoenix has risen from the ashes of The Devon and Cornwall Constabulary Band. Many of our players were members of the Police Band traveling regularly from Bodmin, Newquay, Oakhampton and South Devon to rehearse in Exeter,and provide concerts in Devon and Cornwall.
Having played together for so long a strong fraternity has developed within the band and this was evident by their enthusiasm and sheer delight when performing music to thrilled audiences.
When the constabulary band was disbanded in early 2005 a new band,(Riviera Concert Brass) based in Torquay was formed by the ex members. A number of new members from the locality have joined the original members to form a band of over 40 musicians who play for worthy charities and fund raising events throughout the year.

As a band we are able to provide a large band for concerts,a smaller group for weddings,funerals and other smaller events.We can provide buglers to play the Last Post and other bugle calls and we are able to provide a Fanfare team.

Our Musical Director is able to provide band parts for most National Anthems on request for a small Fee.

Our Musical Director Mike Griffiths who played in the Constabulary Band also has vast experience of playing various brass instruments, teaching, arranging and conducting brass bands.
